Amy Oost, Writer
“One of my favorite quotes is from Mary Anne Radmacher: ‘Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying ‘I will try again tomorrow.’ I try to remember that every day.”
Amy began her writing career as a teen staff writer for the former “Jump” section of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Since then, she has worked in PR at Northwestern Mutual, the Milwaukee Common Council, Hoffman York (now HY Connect), and Noreen Heron & Associates, where she was an Assistant Account Executive.
A native of Milwaukee, Amy is a graduate of Marquette University with a degree in Psychology and Public Relations. She received her masters degree from Loyola University Chicago. She volunteers her time working with high-school age students on academic success and college goals. Amy also volunteers with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and with her local food pantry and supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Amy is an avid world traveler, having visited 20 countries and half the USA – so far! She speaks Spanish and dabbles in Dutch, and she enjoys experiencing all of life’s adventures with her husband, whom she met while studying abroad in Oxford, England, their two sons, and their three-legged cat, Tricycle.
