Geja’s Café 40th Anniversary Celebration

Featuring the World’s Largest Pot of Cheese Fondue, at more than 1,050 gallons, this campaign broke the record set in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Chicago’s legendary fondue restaurant kicked off its 40th Anniversary celebration by featuring the World’s Largest Pot of Cheese Fondue, melting more than 1,050 gallons of cheese in an effort to break the record set in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The public was invited to enjoy this complimentary fondue, enough to serve 35,000 individuals. Leftover cheese fondue was donated to the Chicago Food Depository.

Media secured included national coverage such as a GOOD MORNING AMERICA feature. Locally, all of the TV stations covered the event, as well as all of the major dailies. RED EYE ran a huge photo of the pot of fondue. The event also resulted in a Guinness Book of World Records item.
