As many publicists know, time never feels like it’s ever on our side. Contrary to one might think, there are numerous tasks that we do during our day-to-day that don’t necessarily revolve around just writing press releases or pitching to the press. Throughout any given day, our to-do list somehow gets longer and longer by the minute.

Since joining the Heron Agency family, I’ve felt that time was so precious and moves too quickly, almost to the point that it feels that sometimes it has completely disappeared. Our work here feels delicious and consuming!  I’ve attended late night press openings and early morning radio interviews, written thousands of emails, made hundreds of calls, compiled lists, created tracking sheets, content calendars and more. Now that we’re in the month of August – the month that always reminds me that summer will be coming to an end before we know it – I’m reflective on how much I have to do, but also how much that I have to look forward to as I continue to work in the PR and social media fields here at the greatest agency in the city of Chicago!
