Heron Agency was tasked with creating overall awareness of the Progressive® Insurance Chicago Boat, RV & Sail Show® through increased media exposure and social media. The Progressive® Insurance Chicago Boat, RV & Sail Show® is the Midwest’s largest indoor boat show with over 600 boats and 125 RVs on display, the latest in outdoor and marine accessories and technology, and a variety of hands-on interactive & educational activities.
Through this campaign, Heron Agency was able to secure TV coverage on all of Chicago’s major TV stations in advance of the show, during move-in, and throughout the duration of the show weekend, as well as print and online feature placements in local, regional, national, and trade publications. The media secured for included coverage from CHICAGO TRIBUNE, CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, MIDWEST OUTDOORS, TIMEOUT CHICAGO, CHICAGO MAGAZINE, DAILY HERALD, NBC SPORTS, WGN-TV, ABC 7, NBC 5, FOX 32, CBS, POLIVISION, and CLTV.
Heron Agency’s campaign was extremely positive with over 350 million traditional media impressions and over 3.7 million social media impressions. Through our increased media exposure, the Progressive® Insurance Chicago Boat, RV & Sail Show® enjoyed a 4% increase in ticket sales from previous years.
