Heron Agency took iFly Chicagoland to new heights with over 300 million media impressions for their third opening in the market.
Heron Agency was brought on to open the third Chicagoland location of the nation’s largest indoor skydiving facility, iFLY. The multi-faceted campaign involved a creative PR strategy dovetailed by thorough marketing initiatives, as well as the execution of the Grand Opening launch event, which resulted in an array of A-list media in attendance.
In its opening weekend, iFLY Lincoln Park had a line out of the door and down the block. Media impressions for the grand opening alone totaled 91,156,366 impressions, with an additional 265,237,355 impressions post-opening. Placements included broadcast features on NBC, FOX, WGN, CLTV, WBBM-AM and WCIU, as well as print features in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago RedEye and coverage of celebrity appearances in the Sun-Times Splash. Press also included features in top parent publications including Chicago Parent Magazine and popular mom blog, Red Tricycle, to ensure every target demographic was pitched and invited to cover.
